Cowboys for Kids is a 501(c)(3)
charitable Corporation with offices in Colorado and New York
operating throughout the nation. The organization has
operated continuously since September 18, 2001. The core
mission of Cowboys for Kids is to offer both therapeutic and
character building avenues to physically impaired,
underprivileged, and at-risk children by instilling in them
the virtues of the American Cowboy and the Western way of
life. No other American icon has exhibited such courage,
compassion, and honesty as the cowboy. These values are
disappearing in American society. Cowboys for Kids aims to
bring those desirable values back through the children we
involve in our programs. Cowboys for Kids is also dedicated
to helping raise funds for established research
organizations in need of our support.

Proposed programs and activities:
Cowboys for Kids will offer a variety of programs to
children from differing backgrounds. We will offer week
long camps for older children and those that are in remote
locations relative to our facility and day programs for
children that are located close to our operational
facilities. Descriptions of the anticipated programs are
also listed on the brochure copied below. In addition to the
camps offered, Cowboys for Kids has, and will continue to,
participate in outreach activities that include school
visits and appearances/activities at western lifestyle
events such as the Rocky Mountain Horse Expo (RMHE) series.
The Cowboys for Kids 1869 Abbott and Downing stagecoach that
was donated to us December, 2008, appeared in the 2009
National Western Stock Show parade and exhibit hall and gave
rides to visitors during the 2009 RMHE. We have developed
and recently introduced a ‘Cowboys for Kids Extreme Junior
Dummy Roping Event’ for the 2009 RMHE and will continue this
event for an additional RMHE event in Eagle, Colorado, in
July, 2009 and all our outreach activities in following
years.
